Monte Carlo-Based Indoor RFID Positioning with Dual-Antenna Joint Rectification

A novel Monte Carlo-based indoor radio-frequency identification (RFID) positioning scheme is proposed for dual-antenna RFID systems with the cooperation of joint rectification. By deploying reference passive tags on ground to establish an tag-based map, self-positioning a moving platform carrying reader two forward-looking antennas can be simply implemented by looking up positions responded at each time step movement, and estimating position using algorithm. To improve accuracy positioning, antenna channel, its own footprint ground, may rectify estimation tag information interrogated other channel. The algorithm rectification proposed. performance demonstrated both simulation experiment tests. Some factors in practical indoor-positioning system, such as distribution pattern, size, overlap, are discussed. guide rules system also reported.
